Riga Arbitration Court has launched a client portal — a personal online account for parties to arbitration proceedings and their representatives. Now everything that previously required a visit to the registry or a phone call is available online at any time of day.
What is the client portal
The portal is a secure online environment in which the claimant and the respondent work with their case directly: submitting documents, tracking the progress of proceedings, receiving notifications and paying court fees. Access is provided after identification on the portal.court.lv portal.
Submitting a case online
The statement of claim and all supporting documents are submitted through the portal — without a visit to the arbitration court, without a stamp and without a courier. It is enough to upload the files and fill in the required fields. The case is registered, receives a number and immediately appears in the personal account.
Case stage history — in real time
One of the portal’s key features is a visual case-stage scale. The parties can see at which stage the case is: submitted, paid, under review, accepted, notification sent, respondent’s response, appointment of the arbitrator, summons, hearing, judgment. There is no need to call the registry to ask “what is happening with our case” — the answer is visible in the account.
Email notifications
As soon as a new document appears in the case file, the party receives a notification by email. No procedural action will go unnoticed — neither the respondent’s response, nor a court decision, nor a summons to a hearing.
All case documents — 24/7 from any device
All case materials are stored in the portal and are available to the parties at any time — from the office, from home, from a phone, from anywhere in the world. Both uploaded documents and procedural acts are accessible.
Invoices and payment
In the portal you can receive an invoice for the examination of the dispute and track the payment status. The “Invoices” section records all financial transactions related to the case and stores the invoices — convenient both for the parties and for their accounting.
Who this matters to
The portal is especially convenient for parties located outside Riga or abroad. An entrepreneur from Liepāja, Tallinn or Berlin can manage their case at Riga Arbitration Court just as conveniently as if they were located in the next block.
How to get access to the portal
Access to the portal is provided in two ways:
— Electronic identification with an eSignature. If you are a party to the case personally, or a board member of a legal entity — identify yourself with an eSignature directly on the portal.
— A representative with a power of attorney. If you are acting on behalf of a party — upload the power of attorney to the portal. After verifying your authorization, the Riga Arbitration Court registry will send you a username and password for logging in.
Register at portal.court.lv — and manage your case online.
